About

My name is Richard Wiedeman. I was born in Paris, Texas, and now live 90 miles from there. Between these two points in spacetime, I’ve lived in Louisiana, Iowa, Indiana, California, Georgia, Ohio, New York, and Virginia.

Even when you stay in one place, though, the place changes around you, and you change with it. That’s what I write about: what was, what’s coming, and the ghosts that remain.

I wrote my first story on a blue Buddy-L “easy-touch” typewriter in third grade, when I got bored with the direction Runaway Ralph was going and decided to write my own ending. I’ve been a writer ever since.

Thank you for reading The Regret Machine or Thumb’s Up or whatever you choose, and most especially for posting a review on Amazon or Goodreads. That means a lot.
